Welcome Melisa Enriquez
As of March 1, 2010, Melisa Enriquez is the newest member of the Investigations Division.
She will be responsible locating and interviewing witnesses on misdemeanor criminal cases, obtaining various records needed for court, taking photographs and/or measurements, service of process, etc. In addition, Mrs. Enriquez will also serve as an Interpreter for the Office with Spanish-speaking Defendants and witnesses. Frank Astrella, the Public Defender, states “we are excited to welcome Mrs. Enriquez to the Will County Public Defender’s Office. With the County’s growing Spanish-speaking population, she will be a valuable asset. Mrs. Enriquez joins a staff of seven (7) outstanding Defense Investigators who do a tremendous job for our clients.”
Mrs. Enriquez is currently enrolled in classes to obtain her Master’s Degree from Lewis University, where she also completed her undergraduate studies in Criminal Social Justice. She has worked at several various law firms in the Joliet area specializing in family, civil, and criminal law.
