JOLIET - For the 4th straight year, the Will County Public Defender's Office again partnered with the Salvation Army to provide needy children with Christmas gifts. Gift tags listing children's genders, ages, and wish lists were lovingly hung on a Christmas "Angel tree" in the break room. The tags requested items ranging from clothing (including winter coats, hats, and mittens), bedding, diapers, as well as board games, video games, and toys. A total of seventy (70) children will be in receipt of the donated items for the Christmas holiday. The event was arranged by Jaya Varghese, the Misdemeanor Supervisor.
